FLY HIGH With This New KITE Collection!

Hey Scrappy Friends!

A new collection released Friday, and this one is for your high-flying KITE adventures!  I learned a ton working on this requested theme.  I had no idea there were so many different kinds of kites... or that there are INDOOR kite flying competitions with little to no wind... which means that some kites can be flown windless by pumping the lines.  Who knew?!  Take a look at FLY HIGH.  You are going to want to run out and buy a kite when you see the amazing layouts created with this new collection!

Hooray for New Release Day!! May 7th Edition

 Hey Scrappy Friends,

I hope you had fun scrapping with the Across the Galaxy and Star Gazing Collections that released this week.  Today, I've got MORE great sets releasing at Forever!!

First, I've revamped and in some cases, expanded 3 collections:  Dodgeball For All, Home & Heart, and Old Friends.  Seamless Layflat Paper Packs are also available for these collections as well as for Ice Cream Party, Geocaching Adventures, and Target Practice!

Next, I've been working on NEW Templates for Forever's Posters and Canvases:

The 12"x18 Poster Collage Template is perfect for your sports photos, Senior Night, or showing a progression of school photos.  Forever will print this size from their store.  If you want a LARGE size (i.e. 20"x30" - a standard large poster), follow these directions:

1. Open a canvas 12"x18" and add this template.
2. Select all layers and copy.
3. Open a new canvas 20"x30."
4. Paste these layers.  With all of them selected, GROUP them.
5. Adjust the size to fit the 20"x30" canvas - leaving AT LEAST a 1" border around all size.  Center and UNGROUP.
6. Now you can drop in your photos and add dates.
7. Export your finished poster as a PNG, and upload to your favorite office store that will print this size poster.

--> It's important to NOT put in your photos until you have resized all of the layers - otherwise your photos will get pixelated by being enlarged by that much.

The Canvas Collage Template Pack includes 3 sizes of canvas templates: 16"x20," 20"x20," and 20"x24."  The completed canvases can be ordered from the Forever store, and these make beautiful gifts!

May The Fourth... Bring You Some NEW SPACE-TACULAR COLLECTIONS!!

Hey Scrappy Friends!

My fellow nerds know that TODAY is a very special day… it’s May 4th... which for Star Wars fans means you can be quite punny when you say, “May the Fourth Be With You!”

When I was 5 years old, my dad brought home two 4” action figures: an armored Stormtrooper and a black-caped villain called Darth Vader. Then he took my brother and me to the local movie theater to see Star Wars: A New Hope. That began a love of this intergalactic saga that has lasted over 40 years. When the original trio of movies were rereleased into theaters, my brother and I both returned home from college to go again with Dad - only this time, we could read the opening crawl by ourselves! Since then, we have returned to the theater with my family every time a new Star Wars movie is released; and my husband and I made sure to introduce this beloved series to our own kids. The Force is strong with our family!

My love of Star Wars has continued but has also expanded into other fandoms - Harry Potter, Outlander, Doctor Who, Twilight, and my all-time favorite: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (don’t laugh!😆). My entire office is decorated with shelves of fandoms - over 200 Funko Pops (some custom-made), 6” and 12” action figures, and several props and prop-replicas from my favorite shows. I have signed photos from celebrities I’ve met, and my kids have even created items for my Nerd Room / Craft Cave in the Computer-Aided Design classes they’ve taken in high school.

Of course, all of this means I need nerdy scrapbooking kits!
