Fruit of the Spirit Album by MagsGraphics

It is finished!! 11 weeks ago, I began leading a Scrapbooking Bible Study at my church on the Fruit of the Spirit (Galations 5:22). I used this book as a reference for the Biblical lessons, but used my own scrapbooking experience to teach the class. (Frankly, the scrapbooking part of the book was pitiful - but the lessons were good!). Each class we would spend 45 minutes finishing up the layout from the week before and then start the next lesson/fruit. We'd work through 5-6 verses and have a discussion, then plan our layout. The homework was for each lady to gather her pictures, papers, embellishments, etc.: everything she would need to complete that particular layout. Then we would return the next week - stick everything down and start the next lesson.

Tomorrow is the final class - I can't wait to see everyone's completed albums! And I'm so proud of my own album - this was harder than I expected and each layout is very special to me. Click on the thumbnails to view the full-size images.

I will be posting each layout separately on my "Finding God In Everyday Places Blog" - one a week until Christmas with the full "story" behind it if you are interested.
Your comments are greatly appreciated - let me know what you think!

Layout Share: Family Tree

Everyone once in a while, you create something and then sit back can say, "WOW... I'm good!" *wink* We have some friends from our Sunday School class who are moving out-of-state. I collected family photos of nearly everyone in our class (I even brought my camera to church for about 4 weeks to take photos of families who didn't have anything current!), and then made this layout:

I made the tree trunk. Then I used one green leaf from the FREEBIE CindyRelly's Fall Splendor Collab Kit to make the canopy and all of the photo frames. The papers and other pieces to this layout are part of the paid kit: Home, Sweet Home by Gone Scrappin' Designs.

Our class is called "ROOTS" (hence the play on words in the banner). We presented the framed layout to our friends last weekend - they loved it!! I was really excited how nicely things came together!! Hope it inspires you in your own layouts!

Fab Site For Freebies!

I've been on a quest to create digital torn edges in Paint Shop Pro.... not with an action in Photoshop, not by scanning in a paper edge, but 100% from scratch digitally........

So far, my quest has been thwarted. *sigh*

But I did find a fabulous freebie blog where the owner DID scan some great edges (and TONS of other paper/office type things for scrap pages!) and her freebies are CU-okay! So until I can create my own (I'm not giving up yet!), I'm going to be using hers!

Here's the link : http://www.storeide.se/gunhild/ .
Be sure to sign her guestbook to say thanks!
